Steel Police: Defeating

  1. Strike early if possible. Steel Police have relatively few units and if they don't draw them quick enough they can be very vulnerable early game.
  2. Kill the mobile shooters ASAP. After them, the next priority should be clearing out any well placed modules. Do not let them combine these force or you will regret it.
  3. Be aware how many of their five Battles are remaining. This information can help you make risky decisions.
  4. Expect the Steel Net to come down on your best piece/s. Don't be too confident in an offensive effort if the net could make a big effect.

    Steel Police: Strategy

    1. Put you base in a corner and pray to your deity that no one goes near you. You have no base bonus so really your base is only something to be defended.
    2. Be patient. Keep your base well defended and try to line up modules and ranged damage when you get the chance. Here and there opportunities to do some big damage should come up.
    3. If things are really going well your three mobile ranged units should be doing 90% of the damage to your enemies' bases. Do your best to keep them alive and keep them near your awesome ranged-damage modules.
    4. Like always really, do your best to avoid battling if you are in the lead. Once you have the lead your main priority should be defense. This is because your soldiers have low initiative and are generally bad at stopping enemy units who are lined up to take damage.
    5. I recommend being fairly cautious with your Steel Net. Hesitate to use it on a unit that won't be killed immediately unless doing so prevents 3+ damage. The net can be really huge if you need some clutch defense, so it's best to keep it available for when it's really needed.

    Steel Police: Overview

Steel Police seem like mean bastards. Their story is something based on a renegade, tyrannical police force which doesn't make much sense to me because this is supposed to be a post-apocalypse scenario without too many human survivors and we already have Outpost, Hedge, New York and Vegas, but hey, whatever. Every single one of their soldiers has some special advantage or ability, and they've got a ton of nets and modules to really piss off their opponent. Their major downside is their sluggish initiative which can make things difficult in 1v1, but in a melee Steel Police are a force to be considered. Overall, this new team leaves me very excited for the future of Hex!.
